love of a lifetime
I often wonder how do a guy know if the girl he's going to marry is his love of a lifetime? What makes that person so sure that he's ready for family life? What is his assurance that she is the one?
Of course I am one of those who believe that all us have a love of a lifetime. There were those who were lucky enough to find them easily.. and there were those who just have to wait. There are people who recognizes it, and there are those who finds it and run away. Either they get shocked, they're not ready or they just don't know how to handle it.. whatever the answer maybe -- it just mean one thing -- they let their chance passed them by. Will these people be able to have their chance again? I wonder.
Personally speaking, I wouldn't know -- or rather, I would not be able to recognize my love of a lifetime if he falls right into my lap. Knowing myself, I would probably push him off me and scare him away. Yell at him most probably for being so stupid to fall down on me. Sadly, I just don't know how to handle love... and I can't really handle the fact that there are people out there who finds me so lovable. It is really tragic having this kind of perception.
I envy those people who were able to find the one for them. Especially so when he's so sure of himself that he is going love only that woman for the rest of his life.
