wacky weekend
Hey world.. how are you doing on such a nice monday morning? =) Lots of stuff happened to me during the past three days.I was kinda sad last friday because of the date... that's the reason I asked my officemates to play badminton with me and go out afterwards. Hell.. I even asked them to go to tagaytay just for the sake of staying out. Heheeh.. The boys chickened out-- but the girls (yes, that's us) were not to be frustrated.. so we decided to have a girls night out instead-- although there were only three of us left. Hehehe..
We had to meet State Counsel Macaria in Makati.. so Nette and I went to powerplant and waited for her there. We got there in time for dinner..so we had some tempura and lot's of talking. What do you expect? it's all about heart related matters.. relationships.. and memories. We had a nice time looking at the ateneo law students carrying law books or studying. And we said to ourselves, Thank God we're so over that. Hehe..
Machie arrived with Ajing.. he's a nice man... certainly made to be a family man. No wonder he can't let go of Macaria. Then Jeri arrived.. our pilot for the night. yey! Then we drove around Makati looking for that place where we could hang out. Ajing left early cause he's meeting a friend. So it was only me, machie, jeri and nette. We had a couple of bottles and talked some more. Before I knew it, it's already 1 am. Machie invited me to sleep over at her place... and I did since I would be visiting Asher in the hospital the next day. =)
Early morning.. I met Jemjem. He's so adorable and such a conversationalist. So very like his mom. Machie would not let me leave without breakfast.. and even offered the extra room. Heehhe.. I told her.. it is not yet the right time. =)
Then, I went to visit my godson, Asher in Medical City. Ailes was so happy to see me.. of course the feeling is mutual.. it's been a long time since I saw her. Then we called up Diane to see if could come. She can't go and asked if I could stay late or even stay overnight. I was so excited to see my friends, I asked Ailes to accompany me to Megamall to buy stuff.
It was nice to buy stuff for yourself again.. thinking of yourself again. It was liberating. I missed Ailes' company-- then, we had our late lunch and talk. I confessed everything. All of it. I told her that I am feeling quite sad now that my birthday is again approaching and I haven't actually accomplished anything except the ATTY. attached to my name. I told her that I want to have my own kid someday..my own family perhaps. She asked me if I saw myself growing old with Her. I said yes, in all honesty.. I actually did see myself growing old with her-- experiencing life with her. And she said, somebody better will come along.. You just have to be ready. She said.. If I am to choose..I should choose someone who loves and respect his mother cause in the end, that is how he is going to treat his wife. Good point. After lunch, Papush arrived with Eden and we headed back to Medical City. There, I had the much needed shower! Thank you God for the hot and cold water. Heehehhe... The doctor gave Asher the discharge slip so we checked out (hotel?? Hahahah) at around 6:00 pm.
They were talking about this Isawan in UP.. and told me "Yak. hindi ka pa tao." hehehe.. so they brought me there.. I saw cars parked and the isaw vendors busy grilling. We had some ice cream (yes, the dirty one!)... we ordered 50 pieces isaw ng baboy.. 50 pieces isaw ng manok.. and C2 iced tea drinks. cholesterol.. cholesterol.. and I was thinking of carsibloc hahhahah.. We waited until Diane arrived. There were some isaw left and we decided to take them home (read: ailes' home). There we had a couple of bottles and talk.. and talk.. How come it is easier to talk about stuff that is no longer there? hmm.. Di and Ailes told me they were against it-- but what the heck, it was my choice.. and they couldn't do anything about it... At least daw naexperience ko. Oh well.. it's all done.. over.
Diane and I left around 2 am. We got to Di's home 30 or 40 minutes later. Cleaned up.. and chitchat how come these guys and that girl hurt us when all we ever wanted was to love and be loved in return. We talked about going overseas-- hmm.. at the moment, that is precisely what I am pondering on. Is there life for me outside of the country? Should I give it a try? ... my brain agrees.
I woke up at 8.00 am. Took my shower and texted my sister. I was meeting them in Quiapo cause we're going to check the floating bookstore at around 2. Had a quick breakfast with Diane and headed for Quiapo. I visited Nazareno and meet with ate and the kids. We had our lunch and headed to the Park. Yes, THAT Park. Hehehe. They played and we took the Calesa.
The floating bookstore (mv Doulos) was overrated! Darn.. we have to stand there under the sun waiting for it to open. Sobrang daming tao! I was able to get a book entitled "DIVATITUDE". Hehehe.. I still have to check it out.. But from the outset, I can tell that this book would certainly improve the way I think and live my life. After, the floatign bookstore.. we headed for SM City North.. and got me a new cellphone (cause Ailes and Di are laughing at my flashlight... hmp!)Then we headed home.. our pockets ripped, feet tired.. but absolutely happy.
I am thankful for the weekend that I had-- Last friday, I was really really down... and was expecting my weekend to be a disaster. But God is good.. He saves you from your enemies.. and from yourself.
