I am actually feeling sad about this entry.. as you already know, though i believe that death is the ultimate freedom-- i was and still am afraid of death. I know the pope was sick and he's been ailing for years now-- i also know that he's in a better place now-- no more pain and struggle. Believe me.. I am glad he's out of pain, but I'm really going to miss him. I grew up recognizing him as the only POPE, the one who succeed St. Peter, it was just recently that I discovered that there were others before him. I also remember the World Youth Day in '95 wherein Ate and I went all the way to Luneta just to see him. It is indeed a memorable experience for me cause I was able to glimpse at Karol Joseph Wojtyla, the first non-italian pope. That was a decade ago... wow.. i never realized it was that long already.
everdearest pope john paul II, the world is in mourning by your passing. i want you to know that you have been a good leader to the catholic church and servant of God. By death, you have been reborn to continuously guide us and be an inspiration to us. may you rest in peace. adieu.
