behind the wheel

do people really change when they are behind the wheel?

i feel that every time i drive, i'm short tempered... loud.. and i do want to get my hands around the stupid drivers neck and strangle him. i do hate stupid drivers..that's for sure. also the tricycle drivers... the motorcycle drivers.. the bus drivers.. and the truck drivers. i hate Almost all kinds of drivers. hehehehe

I hate the tricycle drivers since way way back, when i was still young. the tricycle drivers in our barangay do charge too much and used to mock me due to my heaviness. They even had the gall to ask for increase in fare just because they have to turn their stupid trikes. They even have the nerve to drive in the National Highway without due regard to even faster vehicles. They would not even drive on the slow lane.Argh! Even at present, they still overcharge, which sometimes lead me to think they have their kids studying in La Salle or Ateneo. I often get into a fight because of this. Well.. we are all working to live, they're not the only ones entitled to a living.

I hate motorcycle drivres because they always feel that they have the right to go even if the traffic enforcers instructed them to stop. they drive too fast as if they rushing to something. they are always in the middle of the street..or just beside me, which often lead me to divide my concentration. To top it all, I hate motorbikes in groups! Darn.. If only I could run them over with our van without answering to anybody, i would have done it a lot of times already. they drive like maniacs on the lose.. claiming rights all over the street.. and they don't even want their "parade" cut-- they want a continous flow by blowing their horns and flashing their lights.

I hate some bus drivers and jeepney drivers too because they don't care for their passengers. they often stiop or go even if the passengers are not yet sitted oor ready to go down. they stay TOO long in one stop, you'd turn forty years older and when they drive, they drive like Satan is after them. I do wonder if these drivers are aware of the extra ordinary diligence required of them by the law. perhaps not, or they would not treat their passengers like monkeys. its becoming like an obligation on the part of the passenger to hold on to anything just to keep their feet on the floor when it should not be like that in the first place.

I hate Most truck drivers because they drive boastfully due to the size of their vehicle. DUH! Most of them feel that everybody should be afraid of their size... and frankly, we are. I don't want to die looking like a processed meat.

With these people in our streets.. our lives are always in danger. no matter how you drive defensively... when you meet drivers who drive with way too much offense. Well.. you are doomed. The sad part of it is all, these drivers have the attitude but not the money to pay for the damage that they have done.

As i end this entry.. i know you are wondering what kind of a driver i am. well.. i am courteous when im on the road.. i respect the pedestrians..i follow traffic lights and signs...i park with all due concern for other vehicles. i respect authority (sometimes, when i feel like doing so..) All these IF i have not met any of the above-mentioned drivers. Which is very unlikely.. so in the presence of these maniacs, i fight back. dim light to dim light, bright light to bright light.. double dirty finger to a dirty finger.. and a shout of "stupid" if needed.

I am waiting for that stringent implementation of traffic rules and regulations, which may not happen at all..
