could it be

Yesterday, while I was pouring my heart out due to the hopeless system in employment in our country-- the HRO of CHR finally called me for a schedule of an interview today. I was ecstatic. It was as if God had finally heard my cries.

The thing is-- I have felt this way before-- I have been hopefull. Too hopefull that when reality hits me (well..that's the time when they would not call me, which signify that i did not get the job) it would really break my heart into a thousand pieces.

The system is easy-- you submit your resume-- they would call you for an exam or an interview.. or they would call you for an exam... or they would not call you at all. I got lots of the third one.. that is unless I spend money for long distance calls.

The interview today was conducted in 3 stages. The first one was with a lady lawyer-- she did not really asked me but rather discussed with me the positions available. Thereafter, I had an interview with a gentleman representing the Employees-- he asked me the following questions:

1. What are your weakest points?
2. What are you stronger points?
3. Do you have any plans of staying here?

Then, the last stage was an interview with a lady which represents the HRD. she asked me a lot of questions.. some of which are:

1. What makes you different from all others?
2. What is the difference between Human Rights Lawyer and Lawyer of the Human Rights.
3. Would you leave the organization if you have better offers?
4. What would make you leave the organization?

I'd rather not talk about the stuff that I said.. but I would like to discuss what is really inside my heart.

First, I am serious when I said that I have long yearned working with CHR. WHY? Because despite the small pay-- they provide their employees the chance to continouosly practice the art of court battle and they provide opportunity to study and improve yourself abroad.

Second, it is near our home.

Third, I know I can do good working the said organization. Frankly, it's an organization that practices my ideal of equality and fair play.

Fourth, It will provide me with much needed money so I could pay my obligations.

I know the organization is not perfect since it is composed of diversified population. There would be people who would take advantage of your nice demeanor and smiling face.. there would be people who would not like you.. there would be people who would. But the offices that I came from were not perfect either. In the end, we just have to live with one another and bear with each other's company.

Life, of course, is composed of an equation between good and bad.
