yikes

Yesterday, I asked Judy to apply for a position in the office that I'm going to work in. Today, she went there and passed a resume. She's going to have an interview with Atty. Joey ( just like what happened to me) tomorrow at 2 pm. But the thing is that when she inquired, they told her that there is no more vacancy. Hmmm.. Typical skeptical people. But then they got a glimpse of the Judy's resume and then they had a changed of heart. Hehehe… which resulted to an interview tomorrow. The thing that is troubling me is the fact that they know that the information came from me. demmits! I don't want to work in a hostile environment. But then, Judy will be an asset in the office. Cause she really writes well and her resume is really impressive…. What if they changed their mind and ring me tomorrow to hold my start of work? Now that's a thought… It would really be nice to work with a friend.. Someone to share your lunch with and someone to talk with during breaks.

My parents as well as my ate are very excited about me finally landing a job. They said I should have asked for a higher salary than what I have asked, Sethe think so too.. hmmmm did I made the wrong decision then? She said they thought I'm asking for 35K. hahahaha.. I'm quite happy cause I'm new and yet i got 13500 as a starting pay. Not much but it's enough. =) I'm excited bout my first day.. I don’t know what to expect. I just hope that things will work out fine and I'll be able to bear bad habits and bad attitudes.

I went to NBI to get a clearance and I got first hand experience (again) on how corrupt the people in the government are!! SHET!

I'm scared and excited at the same time. It's a weird feeling

yey

Guess what?! I'm in!! Yey! I'll start to report on Monday. =) I left the house at around 10:30 am with my Nanay at hand. I went to the said office at around quarter to 2. There were many people waiting for the Senator. Anyway, I got in at around 3:30 for my interview… I waited for an hour in a half. Yikes no? Hmmm… Then it was time to meet the Chief of Staff. Gee weez he was really good looking, never thought that dudut looked better in the flesh. Hehehe… Then we started to talk…. the followings are the topic ( those that I could remember ) and my corresponding replies: ( I think this is the better version of those..)

Frustration on Laws -- I got frustrated with law when I was in third year law school for the simple reason that the enacted laws differs from what is actually being followed or done in reality. The bending of the laws for their own benefit is what is really happening today…

Useless laws enacted by Congress -- I think the problem lies with the people, it is in their hands on how to follow the rules. If you would really look into the law -- they are good laws. If only people would follow it by the letter up to the period... then we would have effective laws.

Interest in Private practice -- Yes, I'm interested to go into private practice for it is in practice that a lawyer gets his greatest achievement ... and that is to go to court and win a case.

Greatest Dream -- To be a successful lawyer. Hehehe.. But of course!

Salary -- A salary that is fair.

How fair is fair -- *looks at the ceiling* fair.. umm 13,500 …. (Brief silence) and that is negotiable.

So there.. Other questions were about personal stuff. He said that they have employees with bad attitudes that they would make someone uncomfortable. Well.. They can say anything they want but I will not let them affect me. TO HELL WITH EVERYBODY ELSE! This is my first job.. I have to do it good and I have to do it right. I asked Judy to apply in a position. I do hope that she'll get in. That would be a nice treat for me, don't you think? I'll start on Monday.. Wish me Luck!

interview

Late this afternoon, I'm going to manila to have an interview with Senator Jaworski's Chief of Staff….. Which is….. dudut jaworski!! They called me up late afternoon yesterday -- ( as in 4:00 pm ) And I was so shocked cause I'm not expecting a call from them anymore. It has been weeks since I passed my report to their office. I don't know if they would take me in or what. But I do hope that I would be able to a job. Something that is fun and worth-going to everyday. I still don't have any idea what would he ask of me.. Since the last time that I was there, I was not able to talk very much. All I deed was listen and nod. Hehehe.. Pretending that I do understand all the things that Atty. Joey was saying. I'll be leaving before lunch to avoid unnecessary delays. So there -- something to do today that is worth remembering.

I'll be a-ok.

Only Selfless Love

Today in the world where life is born
There’s a struggle that is fought to be welcomed
To be cared for, to be at home

Today when all life seems bought and used
There’s a struggle to be long to be free
And to be a gift to everyone.

We call all families
Rise up and raise your hands as one
Come show the world the love
That binds all God’s children into one.

We call all families
Share the treasure that’s in your hands
What can save us now? What can lead us now? What can make us all be one?

Only selfless love,
Jesus show the world that only selfless love can bring a hundred fold
Of fathers mothers brothers sisters homes
Where peace and mercy reign
Where faith and hope remain
Where life begins and ends in God’s embrace
Calling all families let’s make it happen
Through only selfless love….

Like the Holy Family
With Jesus Joseph and Mary
Home is where true love begins
Love rejoices Love Embraces....

Only selfless love,
Jesus show the world that only selfless love can bring a hundred fold
Of fathers mothers brothers sisters homes
Where peace and mercy reign
Where faith and hope remain
Where life begins and ends in God’s embrace
Calling all families let’s make it happen
Calling all families let’s make it happen
Through only selfless love….

4th world meeting of families

Today will mark the end of the 4th world meeting of families that's being held in Manila. It started last January 25. It reiterates the importance of having a family, of keeping the bond strong. It is a call to keep the family intact. In a world wherein failed marriages and broken families are militant -- it is a challenge to keep one's familybond strong, full of love and respect.

It is important to have a family, someone you can lean on everytime the world is challenging you. It is a blessing to have someone who'll love you despite your imperfections and flaws. It somehow gives you the strength and the courage to carry on. When I was still at school.. (this is supposed to be a secret ok?) They would ask me what field of law am I going to practice, and I would say -- Corporate or Civil.. but in the back of my mind -- I know, I want to give those kids in the orphanage a family. Yep... I want to work in family court. Simply because it's a pity to see them grow without them feeling the warmth and the love of a family. A family shapes a person.

There's no such thing as a perfect family, every family faces it's own challenges-- there are miscommunications, age gaps, misunderstandings. My family is not perfect too-- we do have problems with each other, but the thing is we work it out for us to live harmoniously with each other. That's what my Nanay taught us. If it's just a trifle matter-- let it pass. And we should not fight about money. Eversince we were still cute (?), I mean small children -- my Nanay would spank us if we don't share what we have.. or if we fought with each other. There's so many lessons that can be learned..... or it could be that i'm just one of the lucky ones. =)

Family does not only mean blood relations. Family is basically becoming who you are and still be accepted, feeling being loved eventnhough you are hateful. I consider my close friends as family, and eventhough we seldom see each other.. we know deep in our hearts that we still care and love each other. They are my sisters. Family given to me by fate.

Today is a sunday, Today is Family Day. =)

a friend is a present you give to yourself

Yesterday, I was able to read an article by Ms. Beth Day Romulo. It was about friendships. It was about the difference between friendships of men and friendship among women. It was a nice article and it made realize and understand a lot of things.

Indeed it is true that men does not talk that much, they could enjoy a beer and the company of each other without finding the need to talk. They can do a lot of things with each other but it does not mean that they know each other emotionally. On the other hand, Girls do love to talk -- and it doesn't necessarily mean they are doing the same thing at that precise moment. Have you ever wonder why women go to the powder room to by groups? What else is new? To talk of course. Women do talk a lot whenever they got the opportunity. Ms. Romulo wrote: "A woman without a close friend she can confide in is apt to feel very isolated indeed, which often happens when husband's job force them to live abroad:." ( Is she talking about JANE?! Hehehe )

Men's friendship is more action oriented. They play games.. or do things together like girl watching, bar hopping or simply sharing drinks. Whereas, Women's Friendship is based on communication. Sharing of thoughts and emotions. They confide their problems, their worries and doubts about love and life. And in turn their friends give sympathy and understanding.

My friends and I do laugh a lot when we are together. And usually, even talking about most horrifying situation we just find ourselves laughing. Which leads us incidentally to relieve our stress and finding of possible solutions for our worries.

Real friends will always be there no matter what, no matter how far the distance is. You don't need to explain to them… They know just by the look what's going on inside you. (They really got the knack of knowing things even in the absence of verbal communication.)They provide encouragement and support without judging you.. They offer you options, leave the decision to you. My friends are funny, sweet, intelligent, charming, pretty, lovable, straightforward, and 100% brats. =D

Last night, Judy, Ailes, and I met. We had some dinner over at Friday's. And then went to have some beer in adriatico. It has been months since I last saw and talk to Judy and Ailes. And it really is rejuvenating to be with close friends again. Nothing much had change.. we have steadfast lives.

Don't know when we will meet again but I hope that it'll be soon. They help me forget bout my troubles. =D

koni

One of the things that I really love to do while wasting time is chatting. And lately, I've been staying online longer and longer and longer. Hmmm.. Nothing much is going on line. Just seeing old familiar nicks. Lots of people without faces. Talking to you as if they know you. Talking to me as if they have known me all their life. Anyway, someone approached me today and asked me who is Koni. Some said that since he was not able to meet me, that he missed one-fourth of his life. Why they said that, I don't really know. So he talked to me.. And asked me who I really am. I don’t know what to say. There's no difference what I'm in real and what I'm online. It is hard to pretend to be somebody that you are not. But since this is the net -- you just don't find me divulging any of my problems to them whereas, they are confiding in me bout their problems and other stuff. The guy said that he was intrigued by me.. intrigued huh? I said he should not believe all the things that they say cause they are tons of addicts. And then he asked me, Mahirap ba? And I go, mahirap ang alin? And he said, Mahirap ba maging Koni? I was taken by surprised. And for a while.. I said NO, it is not hard to be me.

Koni is a brat who wishes things to stay simple. She is funny, and talkative. She have lots of stories to tell. She adores aesthetic things (luxury included). She's practical and optimistic. She is friendly, and snotty at times. It is not hard to be her.. However, It is sad to be her. Cause, she's afraid of many things. She doesn't like to take risks. She simply refuses to grow up. I guess she's just like any other girl with extra trimmings on the side. Hehehe.. it takes an awfully patient person to understand her.

See? It isn't hard to be me! So.. do u like to be me? I wouldn't if I were you.... *grins*

……

My sister has an officemate. They have been friends for quite sometime now. And eventually, I've become to know her too. Gina is an only child. She was pre-menopausal baby. And since she was an only child, she was.. Shall we say a brat. She can really say very hurtful and mean things when she's mad. She's used on getting all the things that she wants…. She's used on getting her way.

Gina is in her mid 30's now… she is not married. She lives with her parents and she's enjoying single blessedness so much. She lives very luxuriously… until her mom had a heart attack which cause her mom to be almost in a state of comatose. She does not talk, she does not walk.. She does not eat unprocessed food and she lived with an oxygen tank beside her bed. She had been that way for almost two years until yesterday. Yesterday, she was freed from pain, Finally, the suffering is over … she had become a free woman. She would have celebrated her birthday on the 16th.

But no matter how prepared you are, losing someone you dearly love will never be easy. You may be ready.. you may have accepted the fact that anytime that person is going to leave. But when the truth is already at hand. The pain is still the same. The feel of loss is still the same.

That incident changed Gina. She had come to appreciate little things like spending time at home, sleeping beside her dad again… she was humbled by that experience. I'm wondering what the future holds for her. Her dad is not that young anymore. And she doesn’t have her own family yet. Her dad worries about that too.. Him leaving Gina all alone. Hmmm.. I can only hope that Gina would be strong for his dad and I wish that she would be able to find somebody who'll take care of her and love her 'til the end of time.

two years old

I know that journals are not supposed to be published. In fact in my entire life as a person, This is the only time that i had kept a journal. I chosed my the online journal for the simple reason that I want to let other people get to know me.... to know the real me, what I do when I'm sad.. What makes me smile... and what it takes to hurt me.

Today, I'm celebrating my 2nd Year with Blogger. =) isn't that great? So, it has been two blah blah years. Heeheheh....

I know that online journals are supposed to be read by surfers... This is one chance that they can pry into the lives of another person. But there are times where you don't want a certain person to read all the things that you have written. And i'm feeling that way... Someone had read my journal. And it made me really uneasy knowing that he had read all my innermost thoughts. I don't know if its embarassment from the fact that he had read my rants.... or the fact that he was able to enter my brain and knows what's in my heart.

When you start to know a person.. you would know their weaknesses.. You would know where to hit so that they will get hurt.
I don't want to get hurt.

Wishes for the Celebrants: (that's me and blogger, idiot!)

Hope that this year would be a fruitful year. And that there would be more things to write about. Hope that Blogger will work my problem out (darn Layout of mine!) and a year more of recorded valued lessons and life well lived. *grins*

work?

Welo kulasisi! It has been a tiring day for me. Yesterday, someone called me up for interview. Since i got nothing better to do today, I said yes and my appointment was 2 pm. Never the less, I left our house at aroung 9 am and stayed in Manila until it's time for my barbe-Q. My mother was with me.. and i'm glad that she was.

Atty. Joey was the one who interviewed me. He didn't ask me questions-- this interview, he was the only one talking. I was listening very intently.. trying to understand and remember all the things that he is saying. He has described the position that I'm going to fill in (IF EVER!) and it is the Legislative and Technical Area. I;m going to be responsible for the drafting of laws.. so that the reader (boss) would understand it easier... what else.. I'm responsible for making responses to laws... whether he concurs or not. Haaayy.. And to top that, before I could be taken in, I have to prove that I'm indeed capable of doing a simple.. informative, easy to understand report. I got my first assign (without any pay whatsoever since this is a trial). And it's a topic in which i don't know anything since i stopped watching these darn politicians bashing their heads and throwing they dirty laundry in public. Atty Joey didn't talk about the salary and the Fringe Benefits but he assured me that it's not bad. I don't know whether I want to work there or not.. But I DO NEED WORK. And that is WORK! hmmmmmn hope the sun will smile on me tomorrow. =)

not a bad day.. nope.. not a bad day at all kulasisi..... :)

scary

Today, I opened my email and there I was able to read a letter on how, they're going to destroy the United States of America. The said interview scared the shit out of me. There in the interview, the Al-Queda will bomb 7 major cities of the United States... for the said country to be financially distressed.. along with that they will have this epidemic on smallpox. They will lock US down. They will destroy it where the US will feel it the most.. And to top it all there's going to be lots of death. If ever this email is true -- i need to get laid soon.. I mean.. I should call my bestfriend and ask her to come home! It doesn't matter if we live in a 3rd world country, at least we are safe here..

I'm afraid the said letter will create chaos..... haayyy.. What does the world come into? Imagine.. killing millions of innocent people just to topple a government they believed to be abusive. The said letter gave me goosebumps... and i can't ( actually I don't want to....) imagine me, living in a chaotic environment.. i'm such a peace loving person.. (reallllly!!) And i'm afraid for the children who will suffer cause of this stupid plan. I do hope that this is not true.. i pray for clear Mind... and world peace.
