Cecil's debut

Morning kulasisi.. my family and I just got home from Cecil's 18th birthday. It went out fine… I am so tired. We were able to reach Hotel Rembrandt at 7:30 pm. And the party started at 8:30. There were the usual 18 roses and the 18 candles. What do you know kulasisi!! I was one of the wishers in the 18 candles. Then there was the symbolic (that's what cecilia's prof said) 18 gifts. Heehe… at first it was lively, everybody was excited to see the debutante and her gown.. But later on due to the long program, some people find it a drag and headed home. Cecil was beautiful in her beaded matte gold gown. She had the cotillion de honor. She actually wailed. Hehehhe she almost ruined her make-up. Hmmmn.. I do hope that her wishes would come true as well as that of the other wishers. I do hope that she'll come to her senses and take good care of herself. I'm hopeful that someday, she'll be responsible enough to think things over before acting on her urges. To you girl! We do love you and we just want what's best for you. There's a time for everything. Plan. Act. Succeed.

fifa

Okies… I don't know what FIFA means… all I know is that it is Soccer. I'm not really familiar with this kind of game cause I didn't grew up in a country engrossed with the said sports. But recently-- everybody seems to be watching FIFA. It is held every 4 years and it is now being held in Korea and Japan. It's a very exciting game from what I have seen in the tube-- my Tatay said it is even popular than basketball.. hehehe…

guilty feeling

hmmmmn.. I'm feeling kinda guilty today or whenever I get the chance to get what I want. I don't know what's happening to my family. Recently, they have been giving me all the things that I asked for. If I want this bag, I get to have it. I like this shoe-- ate bought it. I want to live in a dorm, they paid for it. And I know that I should be grateful, doubt it not .. I am. I should be happy… but I am not. Oh yeah… I'm glad that I was able to get this and get that.. but it's only temporary. Once I got my fill of looking at it… I feel darn guilty that I can not stick in my mind all the things that I'm supposed to read. I feel guilty that there is this possibility that I would disappoint them. I feel guilty for asking all these things knowing in myself that I don't deserve them, even a tiny bit.

kulasisi

People ask me about this nick that I often use. I'd like to think that this is my pseudonym.. I hide behind this nick, handle, name or whatever it is called. Kulasisi is specie of bird. No, I haven't actually seen one. It can be found here in the Philippines though. Just like any other bird-- It flies from one nest to another.. Leaving her nest to look for another staying there as long as she wants and moving out when she feels like it. But Kulasisi is popularly known as -- Mistress, Querida, which is a name, used to refer to a girl involved with a married guy. Hopping from one bed to another, Kulasisi is a known fact of life, & society doesn't have any choice but to accept them as they are. However, it doesn't mean that they are treated with normality-- more often than not their life is a favorite subject matter of rumormongers. How a certain girl jumps from one man to another. What they don’t understand is the fact that Girls do fall in love. And whether it is wrong or it is right.. As long as she is happy, a girl would sacrifice anything, would do anything to keep that happiness.

Ok, now what does it got to do with me--- I often say that I chose this particular name because some of my friends were/are mistresses themselves. What are the qualifications of a Kulasisi;

1. They go for what they want.
2. They are hardheaded -- they do what they want whenever, wherever, however they want to do it.
3. They are always pretty and always smell good.
4. They are sweet. The type of person that would understand you no matter how vague your story is.
5. They are thoughtful. They give you things to remind you that you are being remembered.
6. They take care of the people they love. (this is in relation to number 7)
7. Quality service. Hehehehe!
8. They are nastier than the real wife. They are in fact more selosa than the real wife.
9. They are demanding. They want full attention. They love to inquire about the wife and all those stuff, which leads to a fight and to a one hell of a make up.
10. They are good stalkers. They would know when and where you are at a particular time. They need to know your itinerary. This is in relation to number 8. If they said call at 9, you better call at 9 or else she'll be calling you… we don't want that to happen, do we?

One way or another, I'm somewhat influenced by these traits. Speaking for my self, I see life as a borrowed thing. Just like a kulasisi who borrows a husband, time, love and affection. Enjoying each moment that they are together. Valuing each hour, each second spent. And just like Life, It doesn't last forever. One way or another-- it'll end. Sooner or later, you have to return what you have borrowed. So there, it may sound so corny but that's how I see it. =Þ~

I'm no longer a mistress of none.
I am kulasisi.

unsafe society

Hmmmmn.. this entry is somewht unpleasant.. maybe you all heard about the hostage drama in manila.. wherein the boy (4 years old) as well the hostage taker died. It such a sad sad fact that a boy that age would die in that way. We do live in such a cruel society wherein no one is safe even from the one who should be protecting us. The boy suffered 13 stab wounds from the Hostage taker and 4 bullet wounds from the police. Imagine the suffering of that fragile body.. haaay!! I feel awfully sad cause I have a niece same his age. How do we protect our children at this time and age?

I feel pity and I feel anger. Pity for the way that child had died.. there are more people who deserves to die that way. Anger for the Hostage taker and the Police.. oh yes.. the boy didn't die of stab wounds... he died from the bullet wounds inflicted by the ones who ought to save him from the hands of the insane hostage taker. The TV stations keep on replaying the video..showing the anguish of the child in the hands of the hostage taker and of course showing the stupidity of the Manila Police. Imagine.. you're just going to visit family and find yourself in a situation like that..Just thinking of it makes me cringe and my skin crawl. I just hope that it won't happen again.. I don't want to walk around with my niece and nephew at the malls worrying about the people around us..
