south park

I was able to get hold of south park dvd from the local market. Of course, they're pirated copies-- where in the hell would I get P80 dvd on the face of the planet?! Each dvd has 6 episodes. Heheheh and they just don't fail to amuse me. My Nanay would see me laughing all alone in front of the tube while watching the cartoon. Learned new things like "Fudge yah", "Screw you guys, Im going home!" and lots of other bad stuff. They could be crude, mean, vulgar-- but it entertains me( that matters a lot). My ate will be getting me 3 more dvds from the local market who doesn't seem to know who Edu Manzano is or what VRB stands for. Yey!

After the La Salle Scandal or the Lihim ng Makati thing.. I'm starting to hear bout this Lucena City Scandal. Have tried looking for it over the net nd it seems that I;m the only one who knows about it. I think I would ask our suking pirated dvd vendor if they have it.

I know I'm not supposed to buy pirated cds but I live in a third world country, buying pirated cd is a normal thing just like jay walking or corruption.

Don't buy pirated Cd's!

... unless you are poor and knows a dvd vendor who sells good stuff.

politically bitchin'

I have not been writing lately, I lost the ideas hanging inside my head or rather, I lost the itch to be a bitch. I have been emoting and wallowing the lost of my job... and trying to figure out how come undeserving individuals get to fulfill my dreams. It is so frustrating.

So, what made me feel like bitchin tonight..

I was watching the late news. As always, the news today were not different from the past, it just keeps on getting worse everytime. It is disheartening. It made me feel like escaping. I just want to get away from all these. I want to be somewhere else. And sometimes, I badly wanted to be a national of another country.

Anyway, I got irritated when I saw our congressmen arguing bout the 40% cut off from their National Budget, when I saw YOUR Senator Lito Lapid sleeping during the session, and I almost get pissed off when I heard YOUR Senator Jinggoy Estrada give his first privilege speech, and totally pissed when her mom -- YOUR Senator Loi Estrada asked some interpellation questions.

It was a mockery. A huge huge Joke for me. Giggling... saying things in a very unprofessional way like "How can I refuse my mother, Mr. President? I don't have any choice". Five minutes exposure in the news made me want to throw up. It was such a sad story for me. Imagine these people running our country... it is no wonder we are having this fiscal crisis.

The Philippines is a battered country. We do not only see the effects, we feel it.. we smell it.. we are very well aware of it. Sadly, at this point in time, I don't see any hope for our country. The people seating there would always protect their own interests before the welfare of its people. I am feeling sad for the future of my nephew and niece. What kind of future would they have if these politicians would continue to run the government? We are in a depressing state. It sucks big time.

Fuck ya' all!

Yeah.. migration is really an option.

life-dreams

Going back to my lessons in Simplify and live a good life by Bo Sanchez. I am now at page 63, dreaming your life-dreams. As a part of the exercises, I have to reflect on and answer the following questions:

1. What kind of life do you really want? I want a life of contentment and peace of mind, satisfaction with the things that I already have and stop feeling envious of other people’s success or material things. Peace of mind knowing in myself that I have been kind to my family, friends and other people, that somehow I was able to share myself and things that I possessed.

2. Do you want to travel? – Yes, I want to explore other places and see the world.

3. Meet new people and share life and love? – Yes, meeting new people sharing with them stories and laughter gives me an elated feeling. A feeling like it is actually not impossible for people to like me.

4. Operate a retreat house by the seaside? – I am not sure whether I want to operate a retreat house but I definitely want a house by the seaside.

5. Adopt and live with 12 orphans in a huge house – Adoption is not far from my mind. I don’t want a huge house.

6. Write a novel that will inspire thousands? – Yes, although I am not good writer, I would want to write something that will inspire people to live and persevere. I want to make people laugh also.

7. Work part time so that you have more opportunities for helping the poor? I want to work part time because I want to earn extra cash so I could support charities and finally be engaged in civic works.

8. Start a small catering service? – Nope, though I love cooking very much, I really don’t like washing the dishes.

9. Build your own cottage on an island? Nope, I just want a house by the seaside.

10. Set up your own school? – Yes, preferably pre-school. Something to do with children. :)

11. Be a full time mother to you children—and your children’s friends? – Yes, it would be the most fulfilling dream ever, to nurture your children with love and help them grow to be God fearing, responsible adults.

12. What are you greatest strengths? – Dependability, humor, optimism, candor, frankness, creativeness, resourcefulness, just.

13. What is that primary gift that has been given to you so you can bless the world? My gift of laughter.

14. What do you enjoy doing the most? - Share a good story, a good laugh. I love writing funny stories. Giving the people I love the things that they need.

15. What were the happiest moments of your life? – When I do deeds of kindness.

16. What were you doing during those moments? – Just being a good person to others I guess.

17. If given an opportunity to live in any way and do anything—no matter how crazy your choice would be—what kind of life would you choose to live? I would be a philanthropist. Giving things away because others need it more than I do.

18. On your 75th birthday, what kind of person would you want to be by that time? My fulfilled self. Satisfied that I have done everything I am supposed to do.

19. What accomplishments would you want to have attained? – I have passed the bar and became a good lawyer. I have a beautiful house, a loving family, and wonderful children and become involved in charity works.

20. If family members were to honor you on your 75th birthday party and thank you and speak good things that you have done, what would you want them to say? – I want them to say that I have been a good daughter and sibling. I have been a good friend, a good public servant who makes everybody smile with her crazy stories.

My personal mission statement: It is in giving to others that you will find true happiness.

lost

lost

Earlier today, tita marie expired in her hospital bed
at heart center. She went into a coma the other day
but yesterday morning was a different story. She woke
up and showed strength.

Well.. everything ended today. She was less than 50 i think.

I never wrote about her sickness for the simple reason
that i dont want my journal to have entries of
sickness and subsequent death anymore. I want my
entries to be happy and fun. But tita marie was a good
tita to me and i think she deserve this small tribute.

May her soul rest in peace.

result

After trying email posting i discovered that my test post werent published and i have to do it manually. I also tried html, but it didnt work. Likewise, the title does not appear in the layout! I still have to edit it manually.

But the whole thing will work and would be very helpful to me specially during rush hour. It will be a great way to ease boredom and idleness.

This what happens when you don't put #end at the end of your entry:

=====
..... only my love can raise you high above it all.....

g-blogs

My network provider has come up with a new product which is G-BLOGS! It's mobile blogs-- mobile to pc, or something like that. If you have the same network as me.. then go HERE. It'll tell you what to do. I was kinda excited when i signed up cause I can finally post my pictures (in my ate's phone) and secretly wished that Blogger could provide me the same service. Stupid me-- It can! And through email (of course, ive learend about it after spending time and effort signing up with g-blogs.)

So.. from time to time, my standard pink title would be "plain" cause of the email-to-blogger thing. I think I'm going to try it and see how it goes.

Fun in the arcade

The last time that I had fun in the Arcade was when I was with my siblings and we were able to ride the bump cars until the mall closed down for the day. I can’t remember the exact date but I remember the youthful experience like it was just yesterday.

Last Monday, I experienced again the “feel” of Arcade and being with young adults. Hehehe.. I’ve long considered myself as a full-grown matured individual with childish attitudes. I never really got the chance to play the arcade since I came from a middle class family. The games I grew up with are street games like patintero, cha-to, tumbang preso, habulan upo, football, and other games where there are a lot of physical activities and one shed a lot of sweat. So just like the Barbie doll story, I experienced the arcade when I was not so young anymore.

The game that I played a lot was the Race. This is my chance to drive like hell, over speed without being apprehended and have my car turtle turn without me dying or injuring anybody. The game costs 20 bucks. Then there was this humpy-dumpy game. All you need to do is hit Humpy Dumpy (who is sitting by the wall) til he falls down. This will test your aim. I got plenty of tickets from this game (around 6 I think hehehe). Game costs 15 bucks. As it turned out, I discovered that I’m quite gifted, I aim and I hit. The last game I remember is the Duckpin bowling. Game consists of 5 frames. I got good scores. It costs 20 bucks. All in all, when I exchanged the tickets that I won—I was able to bring home…

A keychain.

Wahahahha!! Mind you, it’s a pucca keychain.

tuffy

Our family pet died yesterday. Tuffy got sick after having anti-rabies vaccination shot from the Municipal officer. He was just three years old with us. As a pet, he was very playful and makulit. Likewise, he is brave and can be fearsome. I miss his barkings at night whenever I get home from work. I know he's in a safe place now.

Have I mentioned that Judy's mom passed away? Uhmmm can't remember.. oh well.. i think i'd blabber about it a little. She was just 61 years old. And my friend is having guilt attacks for the hurtful things that she could have done to her mom. I was with her today-- and i felt her sadness, though in the exterior she looked ok to me-- i know inside she misses her mom so much. I wanted to tell her that it will get worst... but i dare not tell her that cause I don't want to upset her or anything. How do you cope up with the lost of your strength of pillar? How will you cope up with the lost of your best friend? Even the thought of losing a person dear to me makes me cry.

Accepting death is just not one of my strong points.

Anyway, I was able to get my terminal leave pay. It amounted to P24,489.37 pesos, for a year and a half of service, not bad ei? Now, I really have to find a job and should stop pretending that I am still working. Sometimes, when I get ashamed that I am out of job, I lie to those asking where am I working now. I hate lying.. but being 27 and out of job is just not my cup of tea.

I hope that I'd be hired soon.

heavy heart

Everytime I see the old workplace at the tube-- i felt a tinge of envy. I don't like being envious. It is so unlike me. But when I see those darn faces -- I ask myself if I am that unqualified to be re-hired. `uck them all..

Sometimes, I ponder the what could have beens of my life with a heavy heart. And ask how come they get the better half of life? I know I am being ungrateful again-- but I can't help myself. I made bad decisions and now I am paying for them.

How does that song go?
"If only I can turn back time---"
sadly, there's no turning back only moving on. I hope in time, I can watch the television without feeling sad and envious. I just don't like those feelings. Hmmm 4 days have passed, still no news bout the "bummer" interview last monday. I hope things will start to get better for me.

I know He will make it better for me.

nyaaaa

I had my interview today. I can't say if it was good or what-- i was not as confident as I was way back then. It could be that I'm too tired (cause I did not get enough sleep last night) or I am coming up with something.

The first interview lasted for 2 hours. There were 7 applicants being interviewed all at the same time. Then I was shocked to know that we need to write something-- My topic was TWO CHILD POLICY. I was able to squeeze out from my brain a 4 paragraph article. There were questions which I was able to answer in a "fair" manner, but I don't really think that my answers were that outstanding.

Then there was the Second interview. I literally blabbered! Yaiks!! After all these, they would dtill deliberate on whom out of the 7 applicants will be fill the 4 vacant positions in that office.

They said that it can take one or two weeks.. so until then, i am still not safe.
