Gadaffi etc. etc.

Gadaffi's capture and death were all over the news. At first I thought he was killed in shoot out. I never thought he was killed by mob rule. It was inhuman and irregardless of the crimes he had committed-- he should have been executed more properly. rather than being shot like a dying dog. When i saw the pictures, i know we could have served justice in a more humane and civilized way.

25 years!

today we commemorate the edsa revolution. i was barely 9 years old when it happened. and as far i can remember, i know that we were pro-marcos then.we would wear red and do the v sign. 25 years ago we wanted corruption to end, we wanted change, we all hoped for a better future for the kids (twas us then..)

25 years after, the kids then are all adults now. we are at the prime of our lives and reflecting on our situation. we still want corruption to end, eradicate poverty, solve the unemployment problems, we are still fighting for the change and we are still hoping for a better future.

and we would always wonder what if it never happened? would it be different? clearly, the answer is we would never know because it did happen. not one. surely two and almost a third time.

naman!

this entry is really just an opinion on the stand of the church against contraceptives. i am a catholic and an avid supporter of faithfulness and loyalty. i mean-- hey, i dont think anybody enjoys betrayal. i don't really see the point of the church getting into state matters such as population control. there are so many poor people in manila alone! out of school youths are everyday scenario to me-- i see kids not in school but rather on the street begging for alms.. selling their poorness to the rest of the working class.

i believe in responsible parenthood. don't bring out kids in this world if you can't shower them with love, if you can't provide security and shelter for them--if you can't send them to school.. or if you can't teach them to be a god fearing human being!

it is the responsibility of the state to control the population, while it is the responsibility of the church to guide man's belief. in the end, it is still MAN who would decide for himself.

the church talks about life--murder-- etc. etc.. but i think it is a mortal sin to bear out a child, and leave them peddling on the streets.. for me, the parents of these kids should have been wrapped in condoms and thrown at manila bay. tangna, wala na ngang makain kan@!321 pa ng kan1!@#!@. mga leche.

i believe it is high time to emphasize the separation of powers between state and church. yun lang.

system error

i tried not writing about the luneta hostage taking incident.. i saw everything on tv, laughed at our stupid policemen and went into shock when it all ended in tragedy. it was like a comedy of errors.

the demand was simple, a resolution on the motion for consideration. it is the job of the Ombudsman to resolve cases pending before them.. and it is their obligation to update the person following-up the case. This is what you get for not even answering his letters.

It made me sad listening to his voice. In it I sense hope, then frustration, anger, and helplessness. It could've been prevented.. really. It must have been hard for his family to listen to all those radio interview-- hearing his voice, explaining his side and how badly he wanted his name cleared.

there is truth in the saying that justice delayed is justice denied. kaya bukas, magda-draft na ako.

I hope his soul will be at peace.

gloria, that girl!

So what kung maingay? So what kung makalat-- so what kung kailangan pa naming umikot para makalabas ng building?

Before my singing engagement at Music 21 last night. Elineth and I met P and Kat in Trinoma. We had dinner and talked. Since Kat has to stay in Trinoma to do business, I decided to bring P to Music 21. We met Shey and her friends and had a crazy night.

P is a friend material. Someone who would knock your head when your confused. She's overly defensive and her mood swings are really really bad. She would be singing, laughing and doing crazy antics at one time and would totally keep silent at another. Drove me crazy 'cause i brought her there and i don't want her to ruin everything.

She was more interesting than D though but not the type that I would want to be in a relationship with.

ps: I got drunk and read G's journal. Apparently, she didn't forget ate's bday and still thought of herself not good enough to be part of my family. *sigh*

Today is Dino and Elsa's wedding day. I woke up with a headache and sad broken heart. To top it all-- I got a message from G telling me to change the number of my mobile device in ym. The hell. I feel so melancholy today-- remembering G all the time.. I felt that knot of pain in my heart. Weddings do this to me. Maybe its old age creeping in my head. Tsk.

election anxiety

the local election is just around the corner-- and i can't help but to notice that there are more people going for politics this year than the last elections. And i honestly believe that they have more money to spend this time, with all their advertisements and posters.

That many faces smiling and looking at you makes you feel uneasy-- and i do wonder how much money are they burning to get that coveted seat. I mean, there are these partylist candidates who I believe doesnt even know what a partylist is and what it is supposed to be. Ain't partylist for the marginalized group in our country? So what's so marginalized about mamayan galit sa droga-- me tao ba na gusto malulong ang mga bata sa droga? I barely could remember the name of the rest. Filipinos are surely great when it comes to circumventing the law just to serve their own interest. During the past elections our place was able to remain poster-free.. but not this time around-- there were faces all over- banners.. and colorful garbage everwhere.

Who am I going to vote for, you might ask...

W.A.LA.
